How Do I Log Into AIM Email?
Log into your AOL Instant Messenger email by providing your username or email plus a password. If you forget your password, AOL offers help to reset your personal encryption. If you do not have an AIM account, you can sign up for one through the AOL website.

Login to the AIM website
Find the login screen for AIM and provide the username or email address associated with the account. Type in your password and click the blue “Sign In” button.

Download the app
AIM offers apps for iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Mac and Windows devices. Choosing one of those options takes you to a sign-in screen for one of these apps.

Create an account if you do not have one
If you do not already have an AOL account, use an email address, password, date of birth and mobile phone number to create an AIM account. By signing up, you agree to AOL’s terms of service and privacy policy. AOL will text your cellphone if you need help logging into your account, plus the mobile text is an added layer of security.

Use AIM for chat and file sharing
As of September 2014, AIM has been AOL’s online chat program since 1997. The service lets users type to each other’s computer, mobile device, laptop and cellphone. You can share files, audio, video and photographs through the service.
