A convenient way to check your CenturyTel email is to access the company's webmail service using an Internet-enabled device and a browser. CenturyTel was renamed CenturyLink in 2009, but customers who have email addresses on the CenturyTel domain can still access their accounts over the Internet from the CenturyLink main Web page.
- Go to the CenturyLink main page
Use a computer or another Internet-enabled device and a Web browser, such as Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer, to navigate to the CenturyLink main page at centurylink.net.
- Click on the Email link
Click on the Email link at the top right of the page to access the webmail portal. Bookmark the webmail portal page so you can bypass the main page and go directly to webmail in the future.
- Enter your account information
Enter your username and password into the appropriate fields on the webmail portal page. Your username is everything before the @ sign in your email address.
- Select an email domain
Use the pull-down menu to select the CenturyLink domain that your email uses. The email domain is everything after the @ sign in your email address. If you are a legacy CenturyTel customer, your domain is likely centurytel.net. If you forgot your password, click the Forgot Password link to retrieve it. If you are using a private device, you can click the box to stay logged in to make it easier to access your email in the future. Click the Log In button to go to your email inbox.
