According to the Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals, the lifespan for most types of pigs is five to 10 years. However, this varies among breeds, and some pigs live up to 25 years.
A potbellied pig has a long lifespan. These animals can live for about 20 years. On the other hand, teacup pigs are more delicate, and their life expectancy is around five years. Teacup pigs are not a distinct breed. Some are potbellied pigs that have been underfed to remain small. Other so-called teacup pigs are actually piglets that are being misrepresented as full-grown animals.
