Toy poodles are high-energy, smart and playful dogs that respond well to training. They thrive when given significant amounts of exercise and human attention. The coat of a toy poodle is thick, curly and coarse. It needs to be brushed on alternate days to avoid matting. The fur around the dog’s face and feet needs to be cut back monthly, while all-over grooming is typically done every three months.
