What States Do Badgers Live In?

Badgers are found in a number of states across the central United States, the western U.S., the southwestern U.S., and in the Great Lakes region. Badgers also are found in parts of Canada and Mexico, according to The Animal Spot.

The states where badgers are most prevalent are Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. They also can be found in parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana, The Animal Spot reports. Four different species of badger are found throughout these states, with each one having its own range.
