How Do You Look up an AKC Registration?

One way of looking up an American Kennel Club or AKC registration for a particular dog is to use features on the Store section on the AKC website. The process of purchasing an AKC Certified Pedigree certification will verify if a purebred dog is indeed registered with the club. To use this AKC store feature to confirm the authenticity of a dog’s AKC registration, however, its registration number and registered name will have to be available.

The American Kennel Club is a registry of purebred dogs that has operating since 1884. The club officially recognizes 189 distinct dog breeds.
