A Chinese pitbull is a hybrid dog produced by cross breeding an American pitbull terrier and a Chinese crested. The result of combining the two breeds is rarely a 50-50 representation of each breed.
The name Chinese pitbull can apply to a dog with any combination of the two breeds’ bloodlines. The appearance of the dog is partly dependent on the exact bloodline mix of a given puppy, and breeders do not always have the opportunity to mix two purebred dogs. The specific features a puppy inherits from each parent’s breed is always a mystery until the puppy is born and grows into adulthood.
