It is acceptable to feed bearded dragons broccoli because the bulk of their diet consists of leafy vegetables, non-citrus fruits and occasional insects. An excessive amount of broccoli can be harmful to the bearded dragon, however, so it is best to feed the bearded dragon uncooked broccoli only occasionally.

The bearded dragon is a member of the genus Pogona, which includes eight species. Pogono is another term for the bearded dragon. The bearded dragon is a popular pet due to its placid and friendly nature. Male bearded dragons can reach 2 feet in length and are capable of changing colors during confrontations with other males.
