The Target Corporation mascot dog is a purebred white bull terrier. Her first name was Spot until the company changed it to Bullseye. The bull terrier came from the breeder Skyline Bull Terriers in Massachusetts.
The dogs used in the Target commercials are usually female, but they play a male character. The red paint around Bullseye's left eye is non-toxic and made of natural materials. Target stores offer little stuffed animals depicting the mascot for special events.
Bull terriers are small dogs that are very protective and easily trainable, but they can also be moody. They are prone to have some heart defects and kidney failure, but typically live up to 10 years. They easily gain weight and cannot be overfed.
