Miniature Siberian huskies stand between 14 and 17 inches at the shoulder and weigh up to 35 pounds at maturity. Miniature huskies were developed by selectively breeding smaller Siberian huskies. A regular Siberian husky weighs between 35 and 60 pounds at maturity.

Miniature huskies are very similar to regular Siberian huskies. They are gray, black or red. They are energetic and enjoy working and playing. They are not good guard dogs and tend to be friendly with everyone. Miniature huskies were first developed in the 1990s by Bree Normandin. Because they were bred down from purebred Siberian huskies, miniature huskies can be registered with the American Kennel Club.
