What Is the Average Weight of a Corgi?

Adult male Pembroke corgis are between 25 and 30 pounds, and adult male Cardigan corgis are between 30 and 38 pounds. Adult female Pembroke corgis are between 24 and 28 pounds, while adult female Cardigan corgis are between 24 and 35 pounds.

Pembroke corgis are between 10 and 12 inches tall, while Cardigan corgis are between 10 ½ and 12 ½ inches tall. Both breeds of Welsh corgi are low-slung, short-legged dogs with moderately heavy bone structure and a foxy-shaped head. Both corgi breeds also have medium-length coats. One of the most noteworthy differences between the Pembroke corgi and the Cardigan corgi is the length of the dog’s tail; a Pembroke corgi’s tail is quite short and tends to be docked, while a Cardigan corgi sports a full-length tail.
