Some furniture sold at Bob’s Discount Furniture is made in the United States, while other items, such as the Bob-O-Pedic mattresses, are made in China. Bob’s Discount Furniture’s co-founder, Gene Rosenberg, was inducted into the American Furniture Hall of Fame in 2013 for his contributions to the U.S. furniture industry.
Bob’s Discount Furniture was founded by Rosenberg and Bob Kaufman in 1991 in Newington, Connecticut. As of March 2015, the chain has 47 stores located throughout the East Coast. Bob’s Discount Furniture is known for offering furniture for the bedroom, living room, office and dining room at low prices, and also sells accessories for the home.
