Who Are Some Notable Vascular Surgeons in the United States?

As of 2015, two noted vascular surgeons in the United States are Dr. Luis A. Sanchez and Dr. Christopher Leville. Dr. Sanchez practices at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, and Dr. Leville practices at Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital in Dallas,Texas, both of which have excellent cardiovascular programs, according to Becker’s Hospital Review.

Dr. Sanchez specializes in endovascular surgery and vascular surgery and has been in practice since 1994. Board certified in both general and vascular surgery, he graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency and fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. He has been named to the “Best Doctors in America” list numerous times, states Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Dr. Leville graduated from the Minnesota School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He returned to Minnesota School of Medicine to complete his fellowship. He specializes in peripheral vascular angioplasty, aneurysm repair, radiofrequency ablation and surgery for venous disease, states Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital.

Numerous hospitals in the United States have excellent cardiovascular-surgery programs, states Becker’s Hospital Review. Among them are Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, which has one of the country’s only programs for advanced coronary-artery disease, and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, which is an international referral center for patients with complex medical needs.
