How Much Iron Is in Guinness?

A pint of Guinness beer has 0.3 milligrams of iron, or about 3 percent of an adult’s daily recommended iron intake, according to the Daily Mail. The dark beer also has 210 calories and 17 grams of carbohydrates, or 6 percent of the daily recommended value.

A stout beer hailing from Ireland, Guinness beer has 4.2 percent alcohol. Started in 1759, Guinness has grown into a beer-brewing powerhouse with breweries in 60 countries and distribution in 120 countries as of 2014. Along with the flagship draught stout beer for which the company is known, it also produces several regional variations.
