What Is UPS SurePost?

UPS SurePost is a service provided by UPS that uses the UPS ground network to perform most of the shipping and then uses the United States Postal Service to make the final delivery to the customer’s mailbox. It is an economical contract service for residences.

The UPS SurePost service has four mailing options: packages that weigh less than 1 pound, packages that weigh more than 1 pound, packages containing media and packages containing bound printed items. Two additional mailing options are available for packages weighing less than 1 pound.

The packages with media and bound items must be less than 108 inches in length, and all other packages must be 130 inches or less in length. This service can be combined with the UPS WorldShip Service. WorldShip decides whether UPS or USPS delivers the package to the customer’s mailbox.
