Why Should I Study International Relations?
International relations is a valuable field of study because it involves a variety of disciplines, including foreign language, social sciences, law, history, economics and politics. International relations students value the relationship between different cultures and believe the actions of a group of people can impact the world as a whole.
According to Lehigh University, international relations is usually part of a university’s political science program, but because of its cross-disciplinary nature, some schools choose to create a separate major devoted solely to the major. Subfields include international security, international political economy and the relation of international organizations to law.
