What Is the Purpose of Texas Form C-3?
Employers use Form C-3, the Employer’s Quarterly Reports, to report unemployment insurance wages and pay quarterly unemployment insurance taxes, explains the Texas Workforce Commission. Employers who do not have to file the form electronically receive it in the mail.
The Texas Workforce Commission requires all employers to file electronically. However, employers with an approved hardship waiver may use Form C-3 for their quarterly reports, states the Texas Workforce Commission. Employers can only receive Form C-3 directly from the Texas Workforce Commission. The form is not available online for download.
Form C-3V allows employers with approved hardship waivers or representatives of such employers to pay unemployment taxes by personal check or money order, states the Texas Workforce Commission. This form is available as a PDF on the Texas Workforce Commission website.
Form C3SCF lets an employer notify the Texas Workforce Commission if a successor bought or obtained the business, if the employer terminated his business, or if the business is carrying on without employment, according to the Texas Workforce Commission. This form also allows employers to fix incorrect or missing information on tax forms, including the name of the business, the tax mailing address, the account number, the telephone number and the Federal ID number. This form is also available as a PDF on the Texas Workforce Commission website.
