What Is the Purpose of a Leaflet?

The purpose of a leaflet is to provide brief information in a small space. Often, leaflets are intended to persuade the reader on a topic, according to the BBC.

Leaflets are a direct and cost-efficient way of getting information to large numbers of people. Information commonly found on a leaflet includes phone numbers, addresses, special promotions and coupons. Leaflets are useful for debate topics, such as elections, because they are small and include basic facts in a way that is easy to read. Additionally, leaflets are used to inform people about local events, such as block parties or festivals. Leaflets are usually only one page, though information may be on both sides.
