How Do You Get a Prorated Refund on a Canceled Amazon Prime Membership?
As of 2015, Amazon does not offer pro-rated refunds for canceled Prime memberships. Prime members who cancel their memberships within three business days after enrollment can receive a full refund. Amazon may make a deduction from the refund for the regular price of any membership benefits that were used.
Amazon Prime members may cancel their membership at any time in their membership year and receive a full refund if they have not used any benefits of their Prime membership.
Amazon Prime is a membership program that offers an array of benefits for a flat annual fee. Prime members receive free two-day shipping of eligible items sold on Amazon. They also have unlimited free access to large collections of digital music and video, unlimited photo storage and early access to select deals on the site. Members who own Kindle devices receive free access to a lending library. Prime members may share their free shipping benefits with up to four eligible members of their households.
Amazon Prime shipping benefits are available to college students at a discounted price. Student memberships do not include access to video, music or Kindle books, and they cannot be shared with other household members. Student memberships are converted to full-price Prime memberships after four years or upon the student’s graduation, whichever comes first.
