Pepsi is produced and manufactured by PepsiCo, and its headquarters is located in Purchase, N.Y. The headquarters sits on a campus of 144 acres and has a building designed by the well-known American architect Edward Durrell Stone.
Pepsi was created in 1893 in North Carolina and was initially called Brad’s Drink. It was also the first American consumer product produced, marketed and sold in the former Soviet Union.
Pepsi’s key ingredients include high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, sugar, phosphoric acid, caffeine, sugar, citric acid and natural flavors. A 12-ounce serving of Pepsi contains 150 calories with 41 grams of sugar and 15 grams of sodium.
