How Do You Find Out Which Eye Doctors Accept AmeriGroup?
A list of optometrists and ophthalmologists who accept AmeriGroup is located on Amerigroup.com. Navigate to the website, select the relevant U.S. state, and then click Find a Doctor.
Currently, AmeriGroup services Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland and Nevada. Other states this insurance company serves include New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, Texas and Washington. AmeriGroup plans are also offered in Virginia through INTotal Health and in Ohio.
To find an eye care provider, click on one of the states from the list. On the AmeriGroup homepage for that state, click Find the Doctor at the top of the page. Select the desired state again, and click on the green Search Now box to access the provider directory. You can enter known information about a specific optometrist or ophthalmologist or perform a search for other available providers.
To search based on the type of provider, enter the state, ZIP code and radius in which you want service. Next, select your current health insurance provider. Select Doctor from the Provider selection menu. Choose Optometry, Ophthalmology or both options from the Select a Specialty or Service menu, depending on your eye care needs. Wait to be redirected to a page listing all doctors meeting the search criteria. You can conduct a new search with altered criteria to make the results more or less specific.
