Omnipoint Corporation was a phone service provider based in the Midwestern United States. It merged with VoiceStream Wireless in February of 2000. The company later became T-Mobile.
After February 25, 2000, Omnipoint Communications merged with the other VoiceStream companies to become one entity. After several more mergers and acquisitions, the company became T-Mobile in July of 2002.
Suspected scam calls from an “Omnipoint Communications, Inc.” asking for personal information have been reported from 2011 to 2014 on the Complaints Board website. These calls come from a variety of different numbers. While it is unclear who is actually making the calls, Omnipoint Communications has not existed since the VoiceStream merger of 2000.
