The MyBlue Wellness card is a debit card that federal employees can use to pay for qualified medical expenses, such as prescriptions and copayments, according to Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan is part of the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.
The MyBlue Wellness incentive program offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield awards a dollar amount for completing various self-health assessments online through the MyBlue portal, Blue Cross and Blue Shield states. The card balance also is increased when employees reach certain health milestones. Once covered employees establish an online account, they have access to the card balance and benefit statements. Qualified expenses are listed in IRS Publication 502.
