The MTA Business Service Center began processing invoices for all of the vendors that do business with the MTA and its operating agencies on Jan. 3, 2011. These agencies include individual bridges and tunnels, the Long Island Rail Road, the MTA Bus Company, the Metro-North Railroad and MTA Headquarters. Large MTA construction projects, such as new facilities and train stations, also receive payments through the MTA Business Service Center. The MTA employs approximately 77 people at this location.
