MoneyGram verification allows the purchaser of a money order to find out if a money order has been cashed, states MoneyGram. The customer must call the MoneyGram automated phone line and enter the money order number and amount.
If the recipient claims he did not receive the money order, the sender can complete a claim card from MoneyGram to get a refund. If the money order was cashed, the sender may request a copy of the endorsed money order, states MoneyGram.
Verification is also available for money transfers through MoneyGram. MoneyGram can inform customers whether the recipient has collected the funds, states MoneyGram. If the recipient is not at the correct MoneyGram location or does not have identification that matches the form filled out by the sender, MoneyGram does not release the funds.
