How Many Del Webb Sun City Communities Are There in the U.S.?
There are nine Del Webb Sun City communities in the United States as of 2015, states Del Webb. Arizona, California and South Carolina have two communities each; Texas, Georgia, and Nevada each have one. The Arizona communities are Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch in Florence and Festival in Buckeye.
The California communities are Sun City Shadow Hills in Indio and Sun City Apple Valley in Apple Valley. South Carolina’s two communities are Sun City Carolina Lakes in Fort Mill/Indian Land and Sun City Hilton Head in Bluffton, according to Del Webb. Sun City Texas is in Georgetown, Texas; Sun City Peachtree is in Griffin, Georgia; and Sun City Mesquite is in Mesquite, Nevada. Del Webb built its first retirement community west of Phoenix, Arizona, in 1960.
