Wal-Mart employees must work at Wal-Mart for a minimum of six months before they can transfer to another store or department. However, there are exceptions, such as emergency situations and special circumstances. Speaking with a supervisor and typing out a written request can be helpful.
To give a written request for transfer, include a request to transfer to a specific store, reasons why you are a valuable employee and the reason you are seeking a transfer. Be honest about your reason but also be professional. Do not include overly personal reasons for transferring, such as relationship issues. This can look very unprofessional.
