How Late Does USPS Deliver?
Last Updated Mar 31, 2020 12:43:57 AM ET
The United States Postal Service attempts to have mail deliveries finished by 6 p.m., but mail carriers can deliver later than that during busy times. Mail deliveries have been reported between 8 to 10 p.m.
Mail started being delivered at later hours when mail carriers started work at 8:30 a.m. instead of 6 or 7 a.m. USPS deliveries can be tracked online or over the phone. There are multiple delivery methods available for both letters and packages, including First Class Mail, Priority Mail, Standard Post and Media Mail. Prices and delivery time frames vary depending on the delivery method. Additional delivery options include delivery confirmation and insurance.
