DeBruce Grain Elevator in Haysville, Kansas, the General Mills Frontier Elevator in Buffalo, New York, and the Farmer’s Co-op Commission Elevator in Hutchinson, Kansas, are some of the largest grain elevators. Other large grain elevators can be found Enid, Oklahoma, and Baltimore, Maryland.
In Canada, one of the larger grain elevators is the Alberta Wheat Pool in Magrath, Alberta.
Many large grain elevators that are no longer in use have been converted for other purposes. For instance, Silo Point, a condominium community in Baltimore, Maryland, was built within the shell of what was once the Baltimore and Ohio Locust Point Grain Terminal Elevator. Additionally, other large grain elevators, such as that found in Volgograd, Russia, are noted landmarks.
