What Items Can You Donate to St. Vincent De Paul?

Items accepted for donation at St. Vincent de Paul include clothing, books, dishes, toys and appliances. Other acceptable donations include jewelry, furniture, pots, pans and holiday decorations. Designated items can be donated at attended collection centers, donation centers or by truck pick-up. To schedule a pick-up, contact your local St. Vincent de Paul chapter, or visit the organization’s oficial website.

St. Vincent de Paul locations also accept electronics, such as working VCRs, DVD players, radios, televisions (non-console) and video game systems. Pianos, organs and other gently used musical instruments and equipment are also accepted. Computers are accepted for donation at St. Vincent de Paul, with the exception of monochrome monitors.

Mattresses, box springs and futon mattresses in for-sale condition are accepted for donation, as is clean and dry carpet padding. Bedding and linens are accepted as well, including items that have holes or are worn. These items are used for special programs that benefit the homeless. Refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers and dryers are approved for donation, along with dishwashers and air conditioners.

St. Vincent de Paul locations also seek donations of small kitchen appliances, such as toasters, blenders, mixers, electric griddles and slow-cookers. Spatulas, mixing spoons, whisks, measuring cups and other kitchen tools are also accepted. Additionally, arts and crafts items, board games, figurines and baskets are all approved for donation.
