Internal sales is a business model in which a company’s products are sold directly from the company itself to the customers. The major benefit of this method is that it allows a company to reap more of the total profits from each sale because they don’t have to pay vendors.
Because companies that practice internal sales do not display their products in shops where customers can find them by chance, the internal sales model depends on finding leads and pursuing potential customers. For this reason, salespeople who work for a business that uses this method are often paid on commission to promote aggressive selling tactics.
