Respect of coworkers is important to cultivate the business relationships that are essential for an effective and comfortable work environment. Respecting coworkers will allow coworkers to give respect and will create a mutual bond that allows the two employees to trust each other, empathize with each other and communicate with each other.

There are many qualities that can help make a work environment more effective, efficient and comfortable for everyone. Respect is key, but communication, information and recognition help to make the workplace run more smoothly.

Communication is a very important factor when it comes to a workplace. It is important for every employee to be able to effectively communicate what they want, what they like and what they think needs to be done to improve a project or improve the workplace as a whole. Employees should also be comfortable in communication with their coworkers to ensure that projects get completed properly.

Information goes hand in hand with communication. Employees should be giving their coworkers all of the information they need to know. While it is not necessary for employees to divulge into their personal lives, they should be telling all of their coworkers about workplace happenings without turning it into malicious gossip.

Recognition does not always have to come from a higher level in the form of a raise, a bonus or special praise. Recognition will boost the morale of coworkers and will help employees to do a better job. Employees should give their coworkers kind praise and recognition when they see them doing a good job.
