The Home Depot recycling program accepts batteries up 11 pounds. It also sells home battery disposal kits for larger quantities of dry cell or lithium rechargeable batteries. The Home Depot also has recycling programs for electronics, CFL light bulbs and Christmas lighting. Since joining the Call2Recycle program in 2001, The Home Depot has recycled over 3 million pounds of batteries.
