Who Makes GE Appliances?

GE appliances are manufactured by General Electric Corporation. The company produces a wide range of products for businesses and individual consumers, including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, water heaters, water softeners, washers, dryers, garbage disposals, air conditioners and more.

In 2010, as reported by Bloomberg, GE realigned several divisions and created a new division in GE Home & Business Solutions specifically for appliances. GE headquarters remain based in Appliance Park in Louisville, Ky. GE completes manufacturing of appliances and other products in the United States as well as Asia. According to CEO Jeffrey Immelt, the company manufactures its products wherever the costs are lowest.
