Which Fast Food Chains Accept an EBT Card for Payment?

Several fast food chains accept EBT cards for payment in certain states, including Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC. However, the exact chains that accept EBT cards for payment depend on the state in which the food purchases are being made.

Some states propose that hot meal are often difficult for elderly, disabled and homeless people to come by or to prepare themselves. Thus, many fast food chains can be approved and are allowed to accept the EBT cards for payment of cheap meals. In Michigan, the list of fast food chains includes, but is not limited to, Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald’s and Subway. In Florida, two of the fast food chains where EBT card payment is accepted are Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. In Arizona, people can pay for cheap meals with EBT cards at restaurants that include Domino’s and the Golden Corral. The list of restaurants that accept EBT cards is subject to change as more states choose to participate and more fast food chains choose to apply for authorization.

Although hot meals can be purchased with EBT cards at some fast food chains in select states, hot food purchased from grocery stores is not approved for EBT card purchase. People may not purchase food they intend to eat in the store of purchase with EBT cards.
