What Are the Duties of Ground Staff at the Airport?
Ground staff at an airport perform several important duties to ensure the safety and comfort of airline passengers and crew members, including checking baggage, stocking aircraft with refreshments, and cleaning the plane and runway between flights. They do not fly the planes themselves but are responsible for creating a positive experience for passengers in both the aircraft and the terminal.
The job of ground staff is vast and varied. Some ground staff work directly with the aircraft, cleaning it inside and out between flights. These people must make sure the ramps, runways and surrounding areas do not have any garbage or debris present that could cause damage to the plane.
