What Are Company Policies?
Last Updated Mar 26, 2020 5:42:45 AM ET

Company policies refer to documented guidelines or rules of conduct within an organization. These policies and schemes outline the responsibilities of both employers and employees. Company policies help protect the rights of workers and the business interests of organizations.
Company policies increase the popularity of a business since people are aware of how the company approaches particular issues. Company policies also encourage fairness and accountability, because the terms are explicitly outlined on a general and individual basis. When an employee or a company deviates from the stated policies, the action may lead to an employee termination or be held liable in court as a breach of contract.
