The commission structure for Nordstrom sales associates is relatively simple, as they earn 6.75 percent commission on their sales. This commission structure is designed to reward Nordstrom’s top employees, as the more that employees sell, the more they will earn in commission.
Each year Nordstrom recognizes an elite group of sales associates that surpass $1 million in sales for the fiscal year. This group is referred to the Million Dollar Club. Nordstrom had its largest Million Dollar Club to date in the fiscal year that ended on January 31, 2014. 50 of the company’s sales associates exceeded $1 million in sales for that year.
