Weekly unemployment benefits in the State of New Jersey may be applied for online using the NJUIFile.net website seven days per week, as the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development claims. Each week of eligibility for benefits must be claimed in order to receive credit for that week.
Applicants must be capable of working, available for an open job, actively looking for work and must not refuse suitable job offers in order to remain eligible for claiming unemployment benefits, as the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development reports. Online applications are only available during particular hours and applicants should verify available times with the Department of Labor’s website. Use of the NJUIFile.net system requires setting a personal identification number and applicants will receive payments sooner if they file their claims on a Sunday.
Credit is given for each week claimed even if the claim to unemployment benefits is in dispute or is denied and later approved, as the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development claims.
