How Do You Cancel Your ScoreSense Membership?

A customer can cancel his ScoreSense membership by calling the company’s customer service department at 1-800-972-7204, according to the ScoreSense website. Customers may call 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday or noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Central Standard Time.

The ScoreSense website recommends that a customer have certain information ready to expedite the cancellation process. A customer should have his member identifier, which he can find in his welcome email, or his Social Security number. He also needs to provide his first and last names and the address with which he registered the account. ScoreSense does not apply additional charges to an account once it is cancelled.

If a customer wants to reinstate his account, he calls the same number, explains ScoreSense. The company enables members to access identity theft, family safety and credit features, depending on the level of membership. Customers can access their dashboard to view their most recent scores and their credit reports from TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. Depending on the membership package, ScoreSense can send alert messages to a customer’s email account when notable credit changes happen, when potential identity threats occur and when registered sex offenders move nearby.
