Anyone wishing to become a Mac cosmetics distributor must download and complete a Mac Pro membership application. As of 2014, the cost is $35 for a one-year membership or $65 for two years, and some beauty schools are eligible for an additional discount.
Those applying for a Mac Pro must present up to two forms of current professional identification indicating their profession. The profession determines the level of discount the person receives if accepted: makeup artists receive a 40 percent discount and other categories receive 30 percent. The application and membership fees must be mailed to the processing department. The Mac Pro application is available at the Mac Pro website.
