While the AARP does not manufacture laptops itself, it does research and suggest laptops that are senior friendly, as in 2012 when it featured an article on Connected Living and Hewlett Packard devices. In addition, the AARP discount store features many laptops with discounted prices for seniors.
The AARP also offers technology advice, including Internet tips, advice on avoiding scams and how to get the most out of technology as a senior. In addition to laptops, the AARP sells the RealPad, a tablet designed for seniors that has customer support for 24 hours a day. The tablet features large graphics icons, Wi-Fi, a camera and pre-loaded applications.
