What Is Windex?

Windex is a glass-cleaning product that contains water, isopropyl alcohol, various cleaning agents, fragrance and blue dye. Windex is commonly used on glass, windows and mirrors. It is a popular cleaning product known for effectively cleaning glass without leaving streaks.

Additional Windex products include touch-up cleaners, disinfectant cleaners, multisurface cleaners and electronics cleaners. Touch-up cleaners and multisurface cleaners are safe for chrome, vinyl, plastic, ceramic, kitchen fixtures and stainless steel. Windex disinfectant cleaners are effective against germs, bacteria and viruses such as Influenza and Rhinovirus. Windex electronics cleaning products are available in aerosol or wipes and work to safely clean computer screens, tablets, netbooks, keyboards and gaming consoles.
