Walther Glass is a small company that began manufacturing glass products in Ottendorf-Okrilla, Germany, which is located in Saxony, in 1865. The original name of the company was Walther-Glas. It is still operation, although it did cease operations briefly between 1950 and 1951.

Control of the company remained within the same family until 2011, when the Walther-Glas name was retired and the company became Walther Glass Germany. Originally a small regional glassware manufacturer, Walther Glass now maintains an international presence and is sold in over 100 countries, including the United States. The pieces manufactured by the company range from classic decorative pieces to contemporary styles that appeal to those with modern tastes. The company also manufactures private label glass for third parties who have a desire to design and sell pieces under an exclusive label. According to the company, fifty percent of the 16 million euros it earns in revenue each year is from the European market while overseas sales account for the other fifty percent. Private label sales account for ten percent of business. There are currently 20 people employed by Walther Glass Germany, which links to the international market via a network of international distributors who place its products worldwide.
