The next presidential election date for legal U.S. residents is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020. The election date always falls on the Tuesday after the first Monday of November every four years. The last election was held on Nov. 8, 2016.
Since President Donald Trump will have served one term in office, the election will feature the incumbent president and vice president, as well as new Democratic presidential and vice presidential candidates. The next midterm election date is set for Tuesday, Nov. 6 2018. During this and every midterm election year, each of the 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and one-third of the 100 seats of the U.S. Senate are up for grabs.
