On a broad scale, the Virgin Mary is deemed the patron saint of all human activity, specifically any positive activity. She is the patron saint of numerous professions, activities, countries and dioceses. Some places did not receive a pontifical degree deeming the Virgin Mary as their patron, but they still view her as such.
Notable activities that have the Virgin Mary as a patron are donating blood, bicycling, piloting an airplane, constructing structures and creating tapestries. Mothers, virgins and fishermen all have the Virgin Mary as a patron saint.
Some churches located in the United States, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Spain, Romania, South Africa, Poland, Italy and India all deem the Virgin Mary as their patron.
