What Is a Victrola Worth?

As of 2014, mass produced victrolas in average condition are commonly valued at under $300. In mint condition, the average victrola can triple in value.
While some victrolas are valued up to $1,000 or more, a buyer should seek the advice of a collector specializing in antique phonographs. A high price valuation on a victrola does not mean that the item has a correct valuation. Sellers are not always knowledgeable about the true worth of the item. Buyers also need to be cautious to avoid purchasing fake external horn victrolas, especially ones found at auctions and flea markets. One forgery trick is to attach a dataplate from a rare model onto a common victrola cabinet.
