What Are the Various Blanket Sizes?
The various blanket sizes include twin, full or double, queen and king. There are a variety of different bed sizes, including California and Eastern king, twin XL, queen, king and super single waterbeds, trundle beds and day beds, but the above blanket sizes work for all the bed styles.
A twin blanket is 66 inches by 90 inches and fits on a twin or twin XL bed. The blanket also works well with a day bed, trundle bed, or a super single water bed for adequate coverage. A regular twin mattress is 39 inches by 75 inches, while a twin XL mattress is 39 inches by 80 inches, making the twin blanket large enough to cover either bed. A trundle bed or day bed mattress is generally the same size as a regular twin mattress.
A full or double blanket is 80 inches by 90 inches and works with a full or double bed, as well as a queen waterbed. A full or double mattress measures 54 inches by 75 inches, while a queen waterbed measures 60 inches by 84 inches.
A queen blanket measures 90 inches by 90 inches and fits a regular queen bed, as well as queen or king waterbed. A queen mattress measures 60 inches by 80 inches, just 4 inches shorted than a queen waterbed, while a king waterbed mattress measures 72 inches by 84 inches.
A king blanket measures 108 inches by 90 inches and fits a regular king, California king or Eastern king bed. An Eastern king mattress is the same as a regular king, measuring 78 inches by 80 inches, while a California king mattress measures 72 inches by 84 inches.
