Full Answer

By default, the site initially directs the user to the first of the Quran's chapters, the Surah al-Fatiha. The complete list of surahs, however, is unfolded on the right, with English and Arabic titles provided side by side. The user can choose among numerous translation languages other than English, including Urdu, Indonesian, Turkish, French and German. She also has the option of accessing the text either by individual verse, or by Juz and Hizb. The Juz, for example, has no direct relationship to chapter division, but is instead one-thirtieth of the entire Quran, a study amount digestible in a single day.

Quran Explorer also has an audio component, whereby the user can hear the selected portion of text recited by one of over a dozen singers. The user can pause or reset the recitation using an interactive panel in the bottom-left portion of the screen. Users can also create individual login accounts, apply bookmarks and enhance or decrease text size for easier reading. As Quran Explorer depends on user support, there is also a place where users can offer tax-exempt donations through PayPal.
