Food, religion, language and arts are just a few of the things that make up American culture. There is not one language or religion that defines American culture as the country is comprised of so many different values.
The main culture of the United States has long been considered Western though there are many other characteristics that influence it. The country, once considered a melting pot due to the fusion of nationalities and cultures, is now considered a land of diverse opportunity with an array of subcultures. The different regions of the United States also play a large part in defining local cultures.
